Cryptocurrency scamming is now one of the main ways of scamming people out of their money online. It is helpful to the entire public if someone who does get scammed, reports it.
Better yet, don’t get scammed at all. Most scammers request you pay them in BTC (Bitcoin), luckily there is a place you can check a BTC wallet address before you send anything to see if it has already been flagged. You can do so here. The same site also lets you report a BTC wallet address that you have been scammed by.
If you become a victim of a scammer, take the time to report it. Below is a list of websites (or in some cases email) to report the crime, listed by country. If it was BTC you were scammed out of, you can additionally report the wallet address you sent the BTC to, here.
